About Biànca

Biànca was born out of a desire to bring the spirit of Italian dining to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, capturing the effervescence of a classic trattoria within a sleek, warm, and colourful setting. The food focuses on perfecting classic Italian dishes, made in-house with fresh, seasonal produce. The beverage program is thoughtful and balanced, featuring Italian-leaning wines and seasonal cocktails that complement the food and the vibrant atmosphere.

The Role

Biànca is looking for a passionate Junior Sommelier to join the wine team at our lively Italian venue. You will work alongside an experienced team in a fast-paced environment, supporting floor service while growing your wine knowledge through hands-on experience and mentorship. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their wine journey who thrives on guest interaction and wants to be part of a service-led, detail-focused team. You will report directly to the Head Sommelier and work closely with them on daily service, wine pairings, and team education, contributing to a warm and considered guest experience.

• Genuine interest in wine and hospitality, with a hunger to learn
• Confidence in guest interaction and wine recommendations
• A team player who supports the wider floor during service
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• WSET certification or similar is highly regarded
• RSA Certificate is required
• Flexible availability across nights and weekends
